The Observer
Slowly passing by,
It sheds itself,
On its way to a date with destruction
Before me now,
I could expend myself,
And keep it from calamity
Yet I abandon it
To an unnecessary fate,
Self-absorbed in my senselessness
Irony the victor:
From impassioned concern,
Indifference carries me to my end.
